Does chaos sometimes reign in your house? Maybe the kids are over active due to too much sugar, too much energy, too much exhaustion, or whatever reason. When that happens, it’s time to bring the situation back into control.
Usually it’s a good idea to separate the kids at this point. Send them each to their own rooms. If they share a room, then find a quiet place for one of them in another area of the house. I have found that telling them they don’t have to sleep, just rest quietly, takes away the stress of not wanting a nap, and they fall asleep quickly.
So when the chaos demon takes over, fight back. Bring the level of noise, stress, and activity back down to a reasonable level.
